Story time:
Many year s ago (well, 2011 to be exact), I went to the K eys for a week with my family, as a sort of last time we’d be together for awhile with me moving clear across the country in a couple of months . Since we were there for my birthday, and I was transitioning my career from 9-1-1 to aviation, my folks got me a ride on an open-cockpit biplane out of Marathon Airport .
The flight itself was a thrill. The pilot had a good number of drunk pilot jokes that I can only assumed were mostly autobiographical, but he handled the aircraft well. Some hard banks, steep climbs and dives, and a perfect feather landing. Once I moved out to California and got settled in with life and work out here, I decided to check out more about the plane...
...and I found out it crashed. Turns out it had faulty fuel level indicators, meaning it always showed 7/8ths full on both tanks, regardless of the actual fuel level. After a hard bank, the engines were momentarily starved of fuel, and the pilot decided to ditch in the water. How no one ever caught this was a little unnerving. No one was hurt in the crash, but the poor thing was ruined.

Should have added, I love the Keys. I could happily sit where you filmed your video for hours and have a fine day. :)
